I am not writing an article, but it is kind of like the middle child. While it is amazing, it is between the 917 and the 956/962 which were friggin' spectacular! Not to mention it was around the same period as the Group 5 race cars, with the 935 doing extremely well in that class of racing. Plus the 935/78 looked badass. My cousins always laughed when they asked me what my favorite car was called. As a kid I didn't know they were laughing at "dick" so I would keep saying it over and over again.

No. I think open cockpit Le Mans cars are insane! 220mph!. F1 cars only gets to maybe 185!

Its not so much as the unloved child as it is usually the forgotten child. Which is a shame because it was bat-shit crazy fast and won LeMans two years in a row. As for the great white whale, DAMN that thing is sexy!
